Welcome to SWAT Fitness South, theHome of Crossfit in Tucson, where our Crossfit Tucson program is the newest addition to the cutting edge fitness programs offered by SWAT Fitness (Strength Wellness Athletic Training) in Tucson Arizona.
ALL fitness levels are welcome, so no matter where you start, we work to get you fitter faster. Whether you're a nervous beginner or a seasoned athlete, you'll find our Crossfit, kettlebells and Boot Camp programs to bechallenging, supportive, effective, and most of all FUN!
Simply put, CrossFit is constantly varied, functionalmovements, executed at high intensity. CrossFit workouts are difficult and challenging, but are scalable for individuals of all fitness levels. The competition can be with yourself or with others during group workouts. This allows us to effectively turn fitness into sport.

What Makes Us Different?
SWAT Fitness is a community focused on living well. We believe in hard work, intensity, friendly competition, and motivation. We will provide you with a daily workout which we call the "Mission of the Day" and highly qualified and certified personal trainers and fitness professionals to assist you through them.
We don't believe in anyone going to workout in a gym and not knowing what to do. Too much time at the gym is wasted and too many goals aren't achieved; not because of a lack of motivation, but lack of knowledge and assistance. We aim to correct this with top-notch instruction from highly qualified fitness professionals who specialize in working with people just like you!.

If you ask most people, and even most trainers, the most common answers will involve Body Fat Percentage, Body Weight or Cardio. At SWAT Fitness, we believe in a more complete definition. Your fitness level is composed of your ability in 10 very specific areas.
They are: Cardio Respiratory Endurance, Strength, Stamina, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Accuracy, Agility and Balance. We aren't a gym; we're a training facility where you'll get instruction and assistance in developing all 10 Components of fitness - and get you feeling and looking great.
This is a no-frills approach to improving your fitness and your life. If you're serious about losing weight, improving your fitness, health and every day life in a professional, encouraging environment, then Crossfit may be just what you're looking for.
SWAT Fitness is the first licensed Crossfit affiliate in this part of the State, and is the premiere provider of Kettlebell Instruction and Crossfit in Southern Arizona.

Many people who are first exposed to CrossFit training via the workout of the day, (or WOD as it’s commonly called in Crossfit) may become frightened by the workout and dismiss it as something they cannot do. But Crossfit IS for everyone looking for improved fitness; we just vary it and customize it to fit where you are - right now. Don't be intimidated, and don't worry if you can't do Crossfit's posted WOD.
With professional instruction and supervision, CrossFit is scalable to individual ability levels. A 75 year old woman and 24 year old super stud can utilize the same superior movements in training by just scaling the loads and duration, keeping the intensity at a level that is scaled to their fitness level.
